
Novelist, Short Story Writer and Substack Publisher
Douglas is a retired advertising copywriter and communications business owner. He has published three novels; his newest, The Third Apology (Tweedlecoate Press), published in December ’25, is an intergenerational story of love, betrayal and redemption.
The narrative spans the turbulent lives of two Englishmen and a French fashion student from 1968-2008. In the background a parallel family story of torn love emerges from WW2 occupied France.
Douglas has recently published his first children’s chapter book, Rubbish: The Little Dog That Became A Street Cleaner (Pegasus Publishing).

He has had several of his short stories published online by Fairlight Books. Douglas has a regular Substack, Diary of a Baby Boomer where he posts anecdotes, short stories, and comment.
He records editorial pieces and stories for radio for people with impaired vision which are also broadcast on local hospital radio.
